Phone Systems Built For The Nbn
Is Your Current Phone System Able To Be Used On The Nbn??
Can I Use My Old Phone System On The NBN?
The answer is possibly yes. Many phone systems sold in the last 5 years will be able to migrate to the NBN. The main features you really need to look for in your current system is Can I get SIP trunks. To figure this out you can talk to the team at Com2 Communications and discuss your options.
If I Can’t Get SIP Trunks On My System, What Should I Do?
The answer to this really depends on your needs. If you are a small business and have less than 8 lines, there may be technologies that will work for you as a transitional solution. We can use ATA’s and move your phone system to VoIP or SIP as a simple migration.
What Is An ATA?
An ATA is an Analogue Telephone Adapter. It takes the old analogue telephone line signals and converts them to SIP and visa-versa. This device sits between your phone or PABX and communicates to your SIP or Voip carrier (like Com2) and translates it back to analogue for your phone system. Too complicated?? Give Com2 a call!
Do I Have To Move To VoIP?
In simple terms the answer is YES. The NBN will make all old technologies such as PSTN and ISDN2 redundant over the next decade. In some cases our customer have had only weeks to make the change. The biggest challenge is making sure your voice quality remains clear and you have little to no down time. This is where Com2 can really help your business.
I Thought VoIP Calls Were Terrible? How Do I Get GOOD QUALITY VoIP?
Not all services are the same! Getting a good quality VoIP or SIP call is done by having all the RIGHT parts in play. 1. Good internet connection 2. The right router 3. The right SIP carrier 4. The right phone system setup 4. The right advise!
What Is A Hosted PABX – Everyone Is Trying To Sell Me One?
A Hosted pabx is a phone system that runs virtually from a data centre. The are pro’s and con’s to hosted phone systems. They do not normally function like a standard PABX but Com2 have two that do! an Avaya Hosted PABX and a Panasonic Hosted PABX. Give Com2 a call if you would like to understand which will work for you.
