The Yealink MVC S50-C5U is a Microsoft Teams Rooms system for medium to large meeting spaces. It bundles the MCore 4 mini-PC, MTouch Plus touch panel, MeetingBar A50 video bar, and RoomSensor into one package. It uses three 50MP cameras for wide and telephoto shots. The AI feature handles speaker detection and framing through IntelliFocus and video fence features. The audio comes from 4 speakers and 16 microphones that reach 10 metres, and you can add 3 more mics when you need them.

The MCore 4 runs on an Intel Ultra5 125H processor that handles AI tasks with ease. It controls everything through the 11.6-inch MTouch Plus with one-click meeting starts. Also, RoomSensor wakes up the system when people walk in and shows the room temperature and humidity on the screen. What phone system does it work with?

A complete native Microsoft Teams Rooms on WINDOWS bundle, not a single device — the distinction that matters for any customer whose IT standard is Windows rather than Android. The mini-PC ships preloaded with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise and its licence plus the Microsoft Teams Rooms application and the Yealink Camera Control plug-in.

THE LICENCE QUESTION EVERY BUYER MISSES. Microsoft Teams Rooms is licensed per ROOM DEVICE, not per user — a two-person huddle space and a thirty-seat boardroom each need exactly one licence. Two separate things are required for every room: a resource account (an Exchange Online mailbox that holds the room’s calendar) AND a device licence. Teams Rooms Basic is free but covers a maximum of 25 rooms per tenant; beyond that, every additional device needs a Teams Rooms Pro licence regardless of which features you actually want. Pro lists at roughly USD $40 per room per month. Teams Rooms Basic also cannot license Teams Panels, and multi-display support is a Pro feature — relevant here, because the MCore 4 can drive up to three displays.

NOTE: Microsoft’s 1 April 2026 licensing update moved several Teams Premium capabilities — town halls, webinars, eCDN and immersive events — into Teams Enterprise, and renamed the Teams Shared Devices licence to Teams Shared Space. Teams Rooms Basic and Pro were not changed by that update.

The bundle comprises the MeetingBar A50 all-in-one bar running in USB mode, the MCore4 mini-PC, the MTouch Plus 11.6-inch touch console, a RoomSensor, and all required power and connector cables. The A50 enters USB mode automatically on first power-on when connected to the MCore4 by USB. A single CAT5e cable carries both power and data between the MCore 4 and the MTouch Plus, which keeps the console install to one run. The MCore4 separates the AV LAN from the internet by design, which is a meaningful security argument for enterprise and government buyers. Multiple touch panels can be set up in the same room, on the wall or on the table.

Triple 50MP camera lenses with a wide lens at 98° horizontal and 81° vertical field of view, plus two telephoto lenses at 41.6° horizontal and 31.8° vertical. 16 MEMS microphones with a 10-metre pickup range and 4 x 5W speakers with intelligent noise reduction and AI-enhanced reverberation suppression. Qualcomm QCS8550 processor in the bar with 48 TOPS of on-device AI compute. AI features including Auto Framing, Speaker Tracking, IntelliFocus, Video Fence , People Counting and Picture-in-Picture. The MCore 4 runs an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H with an integrated NPU rated at 34 TOPS, 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 256GB SSD, on Windows 11 IoT Enterprise. Connectivity: three HDMI outputs with CEC driving up to three displays, a 4K HDMI input for wired content, four USB 3.0 ports, and an RJ45 MTouch port for the console. The MTouch Plus is an 11.6-inch 1080p IPS panel with HDMI and USB-C video input and an adjustable 30° to 70° angle. Wireless content sharing is available via WPP30 at 1080p/30fps. The RoomSensor detects occupancy, temperature, humidity and light over BLE 5.2, with a 30-metre reach and up to four sensors in a BLE mesh.l.

Medium-to-large rooms of roughly 10 to 20 participants where the customer wants Windows rather than Android — typically organisations with an established Intune and Windows management estate, or with a security policy that favours a managed Windows endpoint. The AV LAN and internet separation on the MCore4 is a specific talking point for government, health and financial services buyers.

A DISPLAY IS NOT INCLUDED. Supplied, installed and supported in Australia by Com2 Communications (1300 887 495). The kit carries a two-year hardware warranty. Power adapters supplied for the Australian market ship with an AU plug and carry the RCM mark; on a multi-room rollout, check that the AU pack is supplied and not a grey import with a US or EU adapter. Nothing stated here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

NETWORK AND ROOM READINESS: a Teams Room needs a data point at the display position, adequate bandwidth and QoS, and — for wireless content sharing — reliable Wi-Fi. The most common cause of a disappointing Teams Room is the room, not the hardware, so a room readiness check is worth doing before the kit is installed.

Against the standalone MeetingBar A50: the same bar, but supplied as a Windows Teams Rooms system with a mini-PC and touch console rather than as a self-contained Android appliance. Windows costs more and needs more management, and buys a managed endpoint and broader application support.

Against the MVC S98: the S98 is the extra-large and ProAV system, built around three SmartVision 80 quad-lens PTZ cameras with 20x optical zoom, an AVHub processor that can carry up to nine cameras, a BYOD extender and an RCH40 E2 switch, on the same MCore 4 and MTouch Plus. It ships with no audio devices, so ceiling microphones and speakers are specified separately.
